(Indianapolis) The Indiana Invaders James "Jimmy" O'Brien won the 800 meter title Saturday at the 25th Anniversary edition of the Jesse Owens Track Classic hosted by Ohio State University Track & Field. � O’Brien tested his early season fitness over 800 meters on Saturday afternoon with an exciting win at the wire after serving as a pace-setter for the featured 1500 meter race Friday evening.�

Steve Ludwig opened his outdoor season at 1500 meters with a personal best time while finishing 10^th in the invitational race on Friday night. Ludwig demonstrated good fitness over the weekend by also serving as the pacesetter for the Invitational Mile on Saturday. Also competing for the Invaders over the weekend was Nathanael “Nate� Browning at 400 meters where he finished 7^th in section #1 and Ricardo Bell contested a section of the 800.

Coach Greg Harger said, "Coach Robert Gary’s commitment to high performance opportunities for collegiate and post-collegiate athletes here in the Midwest paid off with many outstanding performances and extensive good opportunities over the weekend" Harger added, "Browning & Bell outings were as much R&D as anything and their progress is on track to attain season goals in June while Ludwig caught a glimpse of adding national class 1500 capabilities to his resume in the future and O’Brien had a nice little homecoming of sorts in his home state winning his first Jesse Owens Classic 800 Title".�
