(Indianapolis, IN) The Indiana Invaders have launched the first step of their recruiting process for the 2016 Olympiad by publishing five levels of roster membership along with support details as a part of their Gold Medal Project. The project recruiting goals are a roster of diverse development levels for men and women totaling twelve national class middle distance athletes.

Five funded roster positions are immediately available for activation January 2013 with announcements on additional funded positions planned in 2013. Applications for team membership are initiated with a simple process of steps detailed on the team's web site.

The recruiting initiative is the first public step in a controlled roll-out of the team’s Gold Medal Project, a new community based business model. The Indiana Invaders Gold Medal Project will feature three complementary programs being woven together to create an integrated approach to elite athlete development in track & field for Indiana.

The three cornerstone programs of the Indiana Invaders’ Gold Medal Project are the Indiana Invaders Elite Athlete Development Program, Indiana Cross Country Arena and the American Milers Club High Performance Series.

Coach Greg Harger said, "This recruiting initiative is a long over-due step in the activation of what amounts to a 2.0 version of the Indiana Invaders. Growing the number of athletes we serve and raising the performance level of athlete that we can serve will simultaneously enhance our two major community programs, the Indiana Cross Country Arena and the American Milers Club High Performance Series". Harger added, "Reviewing applications for our new roster openings for men and women will begin immediately. Selecting athletes covering the national class performance spectrum reflected in our membership levels will be the key to a healthy training group in our community-based model.  We look forward to a busy next couple of months as we announce renewals of long-time partnerships, new sponsorships, growth in support staff and significant athlete roster additions".

The Indiana Invaders, a not-for-profit organization competing at USA National Championships since 1999, provide a resident-based, athlete-centered support system based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Team Athletic Results: 151 USA National Championship Qualifiers, 1 - IAAF World Indoor Champion, 1 - IAAF World Indoor Bronze Medalist, 8 - USA National Champions, 1 - Olympic Team Member, 10 - USA National Team Members and still counting...
