INDIANA INVADERS ADD 800 RUNNER NATASHA LOTHERY

(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders have added 800 meter runner Natasha
Lothery, a graduate of Ball State University and Lawrence North HS (IN),
to the team's roster. Lothery's best performance in the 800 is 2:06.55.
Lothery, a transfer from Kentucky State University to Ball State
University, finished 12th at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships
in 1999 while at Kentucky State. Lothery is a Ball State University
Record Holder in the DMR, 600, and indoor 800.
Lothery, as a senior at Lawrence North HS, competed at the Indiana
High School State Championship in the 400, 4x400, and 4x800 ('98)
and competed at the Indiana High School State Cross Country
Championship ('97).
Lothery will join a rapidly growing and very successful middle distance
development program that has yielded success in the development
program's first year of emphasis with significant progress and new
personal records for Hope Sanders (2:03.48) and Jacob Koczman (1:47.72).
Team Director Greg Harger said, "Lothery has just begun to tap into her
potential. Training under Coach Robert Thomas will put her within
striking range of next year's US Olympic Trials Qualifying Standard
(2:04.90)."

INDIANA INVADERS ADD NCAA ALL-AMERICAN ZACHARY RILEY

(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders have added two-time NCAA
All-American hammer thrower Zachary Riley, a graduate of Ball
State University and Columbus North HS (IN), to the team's roster.
Riley's best hammer throw performance of 67.15 in 2003 qualifies
him for the 2004 US Olympic Trials.
Riley, ranked 20th in the US in 2003, jumped five spots from his 2002
ranking of 25th. Riley earned NCAA All American honors in the hammer
throw in 2001 & 2002 and took a 11th place finish in the weight throw
at the 2002 USA Indoor Championships. Riley was seventh at the 2002
NCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw. Riley is also a
three-time MAC Hammer Throw Champion ('00-'02) and is the Ball State
University record holder in the hammer throw, weight throw,
and shot put.
Riley will work with Invaders' Throws Coach Matt Gaston, who is also a
two-time All-American in the hammer. Gaston commented, "Riley has
the raw talent to throw well beyond his current range of 67 meters.
It's going to be great to work with him."

techniques involved in throwing competitively on a national and
international level. He has a lot of potential and talent to work
with and we are excited with his addition to the team."
Riley joins a roster that includes four Olympians and a team history
that includes seven individual National Champions, one World Champion,
one American Record, and they have had two American Record Holders or
former record holders wear the Invaders' uniform since the formation
of the club in 1998. The Invaders now have nine athletes currently
qualified for the 2004 US Olympic Trials.

INDIANA INVADERS ADD NCAA ALL-AMERICAN FRANCESCA GREEN

(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders have added long jumper Francesca
Green, a Two-Time NCAA All American and Two-Time Pac-10 Champion, to
the team's roster. Green's best long jump performance is 6.36m.
Green returns to competition after two seasons off and one season
of injury.
Green competed at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Australia
in 1996, was a two-time PAC-10 Champion, and finished fourth at
the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a freshman at Washington State
University. Green graduated from Kamiakin High School in Kennewick,
Washington.
Green, during her time off from competition, coached the men and
women sprinters as a full-time assistant coach at Washington State
University for three years. As a student-athlete Green was the
2000 recipient of the GTE/CoSIDA academic All-American award as
well as the prestigious Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar award (for
scholarship, athleticism, and humanitarianism) her senior year
at Washington State University.
In high school, Green set three Junior Olympic records in the 100,
200, and high jump as a freshman. As a sophomore, Green was a State
Champion in the 100 and 4x100 and also competed on the USA Junior
prep National Team, traveling to Hong Kong and China. As a junior
she was the state champion in the 200 and runner-up in three events
(100, high jump and long jump). During her senior year, she was the
state champion in the 100 and third in the long jump, earning her
the title of Big Nine Female Track Athlete of the year.
Team Director Greg Harger said, "Green has returned to very solid
fitness going into specific training for next year's Olympic calendar.
She has excellent potential and talent. She will look for an early
Olympic Trials qualifying mark during the indoor season in preparation
for July and beyond."
