(Indianapolis) The Indiana Invaders’ Mason Cathey will compete in a featured 3000 meter steeplechase race on George Mason University’s track Saturday May 1st.  This unique event is being hosted by T. C. High School and Riadha, Inc. to promote women’s steeple to high school aged girls.

Mason Cathey, coming off her USA National Championship qualify Steeplechase race at the Sea Ray Relays three weeks ago in her season debut will face a stiff challenge with a half dozen athletes in the field holding faster life time best marks.

Coach Greg Harger said, "Regardless of the race outcome this is another step in Mason’s progression as she travels to compete in her first true invitational race against a solid field of peers " Harger added, "Coming during a very good stretch of hard training this contest should provide a great boast to her confidence that can pay dividends in late June at USA Nationals". 

The Indiana Invaders, a not-for-profit organization competing at USA National Championships since 1999, provide a resident-based, athlete-centered support system based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
